Treatment Plan

Physical Therapy Evaluation

We perform a full, evidence-based evaluation of your body utilizing the McKenzie method. During the evaluation, the assessment is focused on posture (including head, neck, and shoulders), Range Of Motion of the cervical spine (neck), thoracic spine (mid back) and Lumbar Spine (Lower Back), strength of muscles in the previously mentioned areas, and joint mobility and soft tissue flexibility of the previously mentioned areas.
  • Innovative, evidence-based approach to treatment which includes a unique combination of postural advice based on the ergonomic assessment and the application of specific individualized exercises when delivered virtually by a trained, experienced clinician.
  • Preventative lifelong knowledge and skills.
  • We work with you and teach you.
  • Treatment without expensive tests and procedures.

Physical Therapy Treatment

  1. Pain Relief that utilizes pain relieving maneuvers, mechanics, and stretches.
  2. Exercises to restore movement and strengthen/stretch muscles in the neck and rotator cuff. This also includes postural exercises.
  3. Ergonomics/Postural Correction - that instructs body mechanics while sitting, standing, bending/lifting, and sleeping.
  4. Manual Therapy that includes joint mobilization and muscle stretching to improve joint and muscle flexibility.
  5. Home Exercises to reinforce the program.
  6. Modalities as needed, such as ultrasound or electric stimulation, to promote blood flow and healing, and decrease inflammation.

Pre Surgery Rehabilitation

It's a great idea to get a head start pre-surgery. It'll not only take you through your recovery post op, but it will also allow you to more easily return to being independent. If you need surgery, your doctor may advise you to see a physical therapist beforehand to do strengthening and range-of-motion exercises to help you recover more quickly after surgery has been performed. This is called "pre-hab". Evidence shows that when pre-hab is performed, even one or two sessions, it can dramatically improve the recovery from surgery.

Post Surgery Rehabilitation

"Rehab" is treatment after an injury or surgical procedure that enables an individual to return to their prior level of function for daily and work-related activities. Rehab consists of hands-on techniques, exercises, and various modalities. The focus of the rehab is to improve mobility and range of motion, as well as to prevent scar tissue formation and build strength.

About

Our Mission

We aim to provide affordable, accessible, and more efficient rehabilitation services in a comfortable environment for patients. Our goal is to help you achieve your wellness and Physical Therapy goals with the convenience of Physical Therapy services at home, in the office, or anywhere else! We will ensure that you can have a pain-free and healthy lifestyle.
I have been a Physical Therapist, providing my services in the state of Michigan, since 1998. Over the years, I have seen healthcare change significantly. On the patient's side, I have seen insurance premiums and deductibles rise. As a parent myself, I have had to pay as much as $600/visit for my son's rehab visits, due to high copays and insurance deductibles. Even on our end, costs associated with providing PT services have gone up tremendously and reimbursement from insurance companies has been drastically reduced. This is a formula that does not benefit the patient at all. Not only does it make it challenging to provide patients with quality care, it also leads to a reduction in patient outcomes and satisfaction. Most patients go back to their daily routines without being completely healed, which could easily lead to re-injury and a need to re-enter the healthcare system.
After seeing the effects of the typical Physical Therapy service, we had to create a better solution. At Mobile Physical Therapy we use various techniques to ensure faster and complete recovery. One key technique is the McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), which is an evidence-based assessment and management protocol for patients with spinal and orthopedic problems. Every patient enjoys 1-on-1 care with a licensed Physical Therapist. In each session, you will receive the services you truly need to improve and self-manage your condition. We utilize Direct Access, which allows for a straightforward relationship between the patient and the therapist.

What Makes Us Different?

  • We use the McKenzie Method of MDT, which gives patients control over their pain, enabling them to get back to normal life and do the things they love.
  • We offer virtual services to eliminate your commute and treat you in the comfort and convenience of home, work, or any other location!
  • We also provide in-person sessions and wellness visits as needed in order to meet long term goals.
  • My experience and skills bring solutions that are proven to work and known to show improvement in as few as 2 to 5 visits!
  • Our plan is self-directed and managed: we work with you, treat you and teach YOU.
  • Our method is preventative, empowering you with lifelong knowledge and skills.
